Fort Collins, home of Colorado State University and also known as Fort Fun, has some 40 parks along with more than 20 miles of bike and foot trails, plus a trio of golf courses. Breweries, some with tours, from Anheuser-Busch to Fort Collins Brewery also put the city on the map as the state’s second largest suds producer, with specialty ales like Chocolate Stout and Retro Red. Fort Collins hosts a Farmers Market twice weekly, May through October, and cultural arts abound at galleries or venues such as Lincoln Center, Bas Bleu, and Carousel Dinner Theater. Near the Cache la Poudre Canyon, Fort Collins environs are excellent for hiking, mountain biking, horseback adventure, fishing, and whitewater rafting.
